Grateful for emotions, followers and the human spirit

Thank you google images for this grateful reminder.
This week I'm grateful for being the emotionally sensitive woman that I am.  For the joy and bittersweet sadness that this brings to my life. For the way it helps me be a careful loving mother as well as a compassionate but often tearful wife and friend.

I'm grateful for almost reaching 200 followers here on the 'Truth About Mummy'.  When I started blogging here I never though I'd even come close to this - I'm a little humbled and very grateful.  If  you'd like to be my 200th follower please feel free - you'll always hold a special place in my bloggy heart!

And finally the newest in a seeming series of natural disasters our world faces at the moment.   I'm grateful for the indomitable human spirit that shows enormous ability to recover, rebuild and regrow. To our friends in Japan, Christchurch and the flood areas of Queensland and Victoria.  My prayers and thoughts of love continue to be with you.

I'm once again joining with Maxabella Loves to spread the grateful spirit.

  1. I would love to fill that 200th spot...but I'm already there! It is hard to comprehend the scale of the Japanese disaster..the size of the earthquake and tidal wave...so immense and overwhelming and distructive. My heart goes out to them tonight.

  2. Thanks for becoming a follower of my blog, I am now a follower of yours and I think I'm lucky 200 ;)

I went into your profile page to find out who you were and after reading your 'About Me' bit I felt I could be reading about my own life.

I have been considering starting a blog about my journey into motherhood, the path of which is a lot more tangled, overgrown, rocky and windy that I'd ever imagined it to be. I don't think I'm quite ready to start putting feelings 'on to paper' just yet, but maybe if I follow your blog I might get there eventually ;)

  3. Well you have 200 now & yes, i'm really into letting your emotions out, saves building up tension that no one wants to experience!! As a fellow mummy of many girls, it's really important we show them how to talk, how to emote & let them learn their way of dealing with changes, so many changes as they grow into young ladies. Sadly, the human spirit all too often shows up best at the worst of times. However, it regularly features in the blogging community which is fab.
Missed your milestone but will follow anyway and help get you to that 300 one

  6. what a great great achievement - I don't know what number I was, but I;ve really enjoyed reading your words and absorbing your thoughts - even if my life has taken over recent;y and I'm not as prolific a reader of my favourite blogs as I was. And well done too for being good to yourself - its important. Those poor poor people in Japan - the pwoer of nature as ever makes us all humble.
