Minnies Masquerade Disney Review & Giveaway!!

On Sunday we continued on our path to a fully renovated house by painting our master bedroom in Hayme's lovely Honey Cream.  Now, despite the fact that it looks fabulous, and means I'm one step closer to getting my new floor coverings,  you're probably wondering what this has to do with Minnie Mouse or indeed a DVD giveaway.  Well let me just tell you that getting up a ladder to  'cut in'  around ceilings is a job that requires concentration and I needed a small (115 minutes to be precise) window of uninterrupted time to get the job done.  Enter Disney's  'Micky Mouse Clubhouse' and Minnie's Masquerade. Before pouring the paint I popped Minnie into the DVD player and asked her very nicely to keep my three pinks entertained while I whipped up some  renovation magic.    And I'd like to tell you Minnie did a fabulous job and there is a strong possibility I will ask her to mind the children again in the future.  Thank you Minnie for helping me out in your own upbeat happy and giggle friendly way!  Nothing like a good dress up party with friends!

On a personal note I loved seeing Micky, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and the gang entertaining my children.  I felt a little nostalgic remembering back to my own childhood and how much I loved watching Saturday morning cartoons with Micky and Minnie.  But for the pinks it's all brand new and obviously very entertaining as they sat glued to Minnie and her Masquerade Party for the full 115 minute running time. (There are five differnt epps on the DVD).   For the middle pink (5) this is not surprising as she loves to watch 'the box' but for the biggest (6) and smallest (almost 3) this was downright miraculous - as generally they'd much prefer to be on the move, bouncing around and doing stuff rather than watching the telly.  Again - good job Minnie.

In honour of the release of Minnie Masquerade yesterday the lovely people of Disney and  Porter Novelli and have given me a copy to giveaway to a follower of  'The Truth About Mummy'.  So, if you need 115 minutes of time to achieve some household renovations (or maybe something else) this might be just for you.  To enter make sure you're following 'The Truth About Mummy' and leave me a comment telling me what you'll do with the 115 minutes you'll have free while Minnie is looking after your kids.    For extra entries follow on The Truth About Mummy on Facebook and/or tweet this giveaway and leave a separate comment for each.  Good Luck - giveaway closes April 18th and is open to all Australian Residents.

Disclosure: I received a complimentary review copy of the DVD courtesy of Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment via Aussie Mummy Bloggers. No financial payment was offered nor accepted for this post. All opinions expressed are purely my own.

  1. Princess Ella is obsessed with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She loves Mickey and Minnie.
She'll watch an episode and then asks for it to be put on again. Maybe I could get 230 minutes of free time!! LOL! Most definitely for me would be my blogging to do list - it's now spilled over to quite a few pages! :(
